A 3-part step by step guide on installing a Windows operating system on a Early 2009 model Mac Mini in conjunction with Mac OSX, using bootcamp, a free program that comes with all new Macs. This part shows how to install ALL the necessary drivers to get your Mac Mini running fast and smooth on a Windows based operating system. The previous part showed how to install XP using bootcamp. The next part shows how to switch between XP and OSX. I'm aware that there are videos of this sort of thing already up, but I wanted to make my own "idiot-proof" version for the new Early 2009 Mac Mini, as the only one I could find was for an early 20" imac. When partitioning out your hard drive to boot from multiple operating systems there is always an inherent risk associated with the resizing of that partition. For those of you who have extremely critical data - you will want to make sure you backup everything that you don't want to lose before moving forward with the resizing and installation of a second operating system on the same hard drive. The hard drive is partitioned into 4 pieces. The partition without an OS can be seen by all three oss so they can share files. I've never taken a programing class. People may say you have to be some sort coding genius to do this but it just isn't true. All I did was combine instructions from various sites online to get this to work. Touché | | |
