Description: Champions of Krynn for the Commodore 64 This game + Pool of Radiance and the Bard's Tale trilogy are what got me into the whole rpg genre. My cousin and I would play these two games for hours on end. What great times those were! We'd both create 3 characters and then divide battles by the characters we'd made. Later I got into Might and Magic also, though I was only fond of Might and Magic II: Gates to Another World, but what a magnificent game that was. Damn if they could only make games like that now!!!! (They won't. Maybe I should. If I was only good in programming!?*#!@!&!, So now (at the moment) I'm uploading Champions of Krynn - Intro+Demo. Had a request to put something up from this game from YT user "jedorsbeaucouptrop". Whoah! thank the God's for Cut n' Paste!!! Soooooooo..........It has been since the early 90's since I played this game on an actual C64 with my cousin Pat, and man I didn't remember that the game had such awesome music!!!!! I don't remember the DOS version every having that kind of music! Man was the C64 great of what!?! Maybe the best music might be heard on the Amiga? or Atari ST? Not sure. All I know is the C64 music kicks arse!!!! One thing about the Krynn trilogy that always irked me is that you can't have an evil character like you can with the Forgotten Realms series! What gives! I mean yeah I know we're supposed to play the good characters, ie "the Heroes", but that's like that in every game. What makes the Krynn games any different? Well ... |
